How To Choose Nickel-free Jewelry & Finding?

Nickel-free badges: Look for jewelry marked as nickel-free. This is the simplest option.

Higher gold carats: look for fragments higher than 14k, any low fragments usually contain nickel and other allergic alloys. This is why many jewelers (like me) offer nickel-free jewelry of 18k and above.

Platinum: This metal is naturally hypoallergenic, and it is known for its shiny silver-white color. This is a good choice, but it is a bit more expensive than 18k white gold.

Palladium: Palladium has a silvery-white color like platinum, but it is cheap. This is a substitute for platinum and nickel, so accessories are unlikely to cause metal allergies. This is a good choice when you can’t afford platinum jewelry.

Titanium: Titanium is a very durable metal and also hypoallergenic. Many men’s rings use this metal because of its ideal properties. Titanium jewelry resists corrosion even when exposed to sweat and chlorinated pool water. Some gold jewelry uses titanium alloys instead of nickel or other metals.

Ceramics: High-tech ceramics is a synthetic material mainly used in watches and rings. Since there is no metal, this material is hypoallergenic and very durable. Some men prefer ceramic jewelry instead of metal because of its lightness and solid color, which will not chip or fade over time.

Tungsten: Tungsten is a hypoallergenic metal, usually used as an alloy for gold jewelry, and has a brushed finish.

Rhodium: An extremely rare metal, the price is much more expensive than gold. Rhodium-plated jewelry is completely hypoallergenic, has good chemical properties, and is not cheap, like Swarovski Jewelry.
